Code of Ethics
In keeping with its mission and philosophy Focus Health Care subscribes to the following code of ethics:
Focus Health Care - shall be accessible and available to all clients from its primary service area regardless of sex, race, creed, color or national origin and will attempt to address the need for culturally specific and relevant programming for ethnic minorities, deaf/hearing impaired and others.
Focus Health Care - will be open and honest in it's marketing efforts, marketing only those services which are available and will designate the level of licensure and/or accreditation.
Focus Health Care - will strive to assure clients receive treatment services in as cost-effective manner as possible, providing itemized bills and assuring no client shall be discharged for lack of reimbursement.
Focus Health Care - will recognize the right of a staff person to step aside in treatment should a staff person encounter a circumstance in care giving that would violate their religious, cultural or ethical values. The change of counselor is not to become an issue for the client and nor shall the staff person have their personal values judged.
Focus Health Care - will recognize that all clients, including former clients, are emotionally vulnerable and therefore inappropriate fraternization can be detrimental to their recovery and will protect the personal and recovery rights of it's clients by subscribing to a no-fraternization policy. |
